LGBTQIA+ Resources

Luther’s policy regarding students’ chosen names, gender identities, and preferred pronouns is outlined in the Student Handbook. Visit the Office of Student Engagement to learn more and view the policy.

The Center for Intercultural Engagement and Support offers Safe Zone training to build the community’s capacity to understand and work effectively with members of the LGBTQIA+ population. We partner with an outside organization, One Iowa, which provides the training. One Iowa is dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ Iowans, including educating others about the LGBTQIA+ community. To attend a Safe Zone training, contact CIES at cies@luther.edu.
