Used Equipment Sale

As ITS collects used equipment which is no longer being used, it will be sold on the Used Equipment Sale. Items sold through the Used Equipment Sale may not be reused on campus. Once a request has been made, ITS will be in contact within 3-5 business days. Purchased items are paid for and picked up in Preus Library 221.

Recycling

In addition to selling items through the Used Technology Equipment Sale, ITS occasionally recycles ITS-owned equipment through other vendors. This includes old computers, printers, monitors, televisions, and other miscellaneous electronics and equipment.

In June 2024, 12,823 pounds of electronic recycling materials were picked up by ARCOA. ARCOA has also picked up recycling in October 2021 (4,261 pounds) and April 2020 (4,720 pounds). Additional recycling was picked up in February 2019 and June 2018 (ARCOA) and in June 2015 and October 2013 (Dynamic Recycling).

In past years, ITS has donated laptops to learning programs in Namibia, monitors and laptops to Goodwill, and other programs. Individuals can recycle their own personal computer equipment and electronics through the Freeport Recycling Center for a small fee.
