The band then performs “A Little Fantasy on an American Dream” by David Holsinger, featuring soprano soloist Jennaya Robison, Luther associate professor of music. The program features “Highlights from West Side Story,” written by Leonard Bernstein and arranged by Ted Ingram, and Varsity Band concludes their portion of the concert with “His Honor” by Henry Filmore.

Wind and Percussion Ensemble is conducted by Jack Stamp, Luther visiting professor of music. They open with “Five Variants on Dives and Lazarus” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, followed by Stamp’s original composition “Elegy for English Horn and Band,” featuring Heather Armstrong, Luther associate professor of music. The ensemble continues with Clifton Williams’ “Caccia and Chorale.” The concert repertoire features a section titled “A Tribute to Leonard Bernstein,” featuring Luther sophomore dancer Helen Roets and Luther’s Chapel Choir conducted by Jennaya Robison. The Ensemble will conclude with “Introit,” by Fisher Tull.
