Luther’s SPIN to perform 1440-minute musical

SPIN Theatre, a Luther College student theatre organization, will perform their annual 1,440-minute musical at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 10, in Luther’s Jewel Theatre.

The family-friendly musical is open to the public, and tickets are $5, available at the door.

SPIN’s 1,440-minute musical involves rehearsing and performing the musical in a 24-hour time frame. Luther students audition the weekend before the performance, without knowing what musical will be performed. On Monday, March 5, the cast list will be made public, while still withholding information about the musical. Throughout that week, SPIN Theatre will post hints about the musical on their Facebook page, SPIN Theatre Company. On Friday night, the musical and roles will be revealed to the cast and to the public.

Options for this year’s musical are “Jekyll and Hyde: the Musical,” “Grease,” “Seussical,” “Elf: the Musical,” “Camp Rock” and “Oklahoma!”
