Dorian Orchestra Festival
February 9-10, 2025
Are you a high school string player? If so, come and participate in the 53rd annual Dorian Orchestra Festival! Students are placed in one of two orchestras: the Festival String Orchestra or the select Chamber Orchestra. The Luther College Symphony Orchestra performs for the festival participants during the weekend, and the two festival orchestras perform in a Grand Concert on Monday evening.
In addition to ensemble rehearsals, students will participate in a techniques class and masterclass led by Luther College String Faculty members. Students will also have the opportunity to receive a 15 minute private lesson from a Luther College faculty member. This lesson may serve as an audition to be an outstanding concert soloist, and it may serve as a music scholarship audition for seniors who are interested in attending Luther College.
If you are nominating a senior who is interested in attending Luther, you can sign them up for a scholarship audition during this festival weekend!

NEW THIS YEAR: We will be able to accept online credit card payments for festival fees, in addition to receiving payments by check and/or cash. Download the paper form (found at the bottom of this tab) if you are paying with cash or check. Please reach out to dorian@luther.edu if the fees present a financial hardship for your school or students.
PLEASE READ: In an effort to have the roster information and the fees form match, please refer to the roster, found in your teacher email from Dorian, prior to submission. If you have ANY changes to your roster, including but not limited to: lessons, housing, number of attendees, you MUST reach out to dorian@luther.edu with that update prior to filling out this form.
