Faculty Research Presentation: Dr. Mark Guerci

Dr. Mark Guerci will give a presentation covering some of his research into the ways in which Americans have remembered the abolitionist movement since the antebellum period and the American Civil War. Dr. Guerci will examine several significant incidents from abolitionist history, and explore how Americans looking back on those events tried to mold the story of the abolitionists into a usable past for their own generations. Light refreshments will follow.
