Alumni-Hosted Event-in-a-Bag

Being a Norse doesn’t end at Commencement! Alumni-hosted events are a fun and casual opportunity to gather with fellow Luther grads in your community.

Interested in hosting a Luther event-in-a-bag? Here’s what you need to know!

Host responsibilities:

• Choose a time and date for the event. Get in touch with Luther’s Alumni & Engagement team at least 12 weeks in advance with the date, time, and venue.
• Provide refreshments or snacks (as desired)
• Welcome and host guests during event
• Return sign-in sheets and supplies after the event

Luther provides: 

• Materials you’ll need to host the event: we’ll send you a bag with nametags, sign-in sheets, Luther branded decor, and fun swag! 
• Contact information for alumni & friends in your region  
• Registration form (we’ll create and manage this, and share RSVPs with hosts.)
• Marketing for the event:
  • Email invitations to area alumni & friends
  • Social media posts on the Luther Alumni Facebook Page
  • Event posts on Luther’s website
