Buddhist Tzu Chi Compassion Relief Foundation is a Taiwan-based, women-lead movement that has grown from its humble beginning to become the leading NGO in Asia. Tzu Chi today operates non-profit hospitals, schools, recycling centers all over Taiwan and the world, thus engaging in fostering peace and sustainability. In places devastated by disasters, Tzu Chi is often the first responding organization to provide emergency relief.
