Career Coaching
The Luther College Career Center offers individualized coaching to all current students. Career coaching provides you with a sounding board, a fresh perspective, and professional guidance. Coaching appointments are available with both Career Center staff and highly trained peer advisors.
Drop In during Open Career Labs
Stop by the Career Center between 1 and 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Career Center staff host drop-in hours during these times—no appointment necessary. Enjoy snacks, smiles, and support for your career-related needs. Conversation topics often include resume help, LinkedIn or Handshake profile enhancement, and Career Center resources.

Career Center coaching appointments can be scheduled through Handshake. All Luther College students have access to Handshake, simply use your Luther email address to activate your user account.

Meet with a full-time Career Center coach and receive 1:1 customized support on a range of topics. Coaching sessions can cover areas such as:
- Building your network
- Finding an internship
- Exploring majors and/or careers
- Navigating a job search
- Planning for graduate school
- Sharing your story (resume, cover letter, elevator pitch, etc.)
- And more
Peer Resume Support
This appointment is great for students wanting to work with a fellow college student to build their first resume or enhance an existing one.
Peer Interview Support
Bring your interview questions, learn interview tips, explore interview resources, and even practice answering interview questions with a fellow college student.
